Upcoming Events: April 2021

Holy crap! It’s April already. The governor declared that the pandemic is over and opened the state 100%. However, many citizens, cities, and businesses of Texas disagree with him and are playing it safe. Austin and Travis county are in stage 3: This means that residents should: Practice good hygiene; Wear a mask; Stay home if sick; Avoid sick people; avoid all gatherings with social groups greater than 10. Businesses are recommended to operate at up to 50-75%% capacity.

Here’s What’s Going On

Mohawk, Elysium and other venues are staying closed, although Elysium is working on a plan to open soon. Come and Take It Live is aggressively adding shows to its schedule and has a pretty full calendar of metal shows for April. The Lost Well and Drinks Lounge are open with DJs and drink specials. Hole in the Wall is open and is having occasional shows on the patio. Elysium is still hosting streaming parties on Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights. Jackalope South Shore is hosting Metal Mondays. Sir Rat Leather & Gear is hosting Kink Bingo events at oil Can Harry’s, Yarrow and Sage continues to host the Witches’ Market, and Bloody Rose Boutique is celebrating their 3rd anniversary with a pop-up market co-hosted by the Tigress Pub. If you are into classic horror movies, the Drafthouse is having screenings of the Exorcist and Bride of Frankenstein.
