Hello and welcome to September. Sorry we are a day late getting this out, but as thing have been opening up and people have been going back to normal, so has the COVID! Shows have been getting canceled here and there and the City of Austin has started denying permits for large gatherings – except at the UT football games, and the new Q2 stadium. Guess if you have enough money… Anyway, we are back to stage 5 guidelines.
Anyway… events are still being booked and calendars are pretty full at all the different venues, but like we said above, there are cancelations happening so maintaining the calendar has been a pain in the ass. Anyway, all Austin area locations of the Drafthouse are now open, and the AFS Cinema is open. In addition to all the concerts we now have a bunch of cool horror, punk and alternative movies like Lydia Lunch: The War is Never Over, Pan’s Labyrinth and Polyester, on the calendar.
Because things are in flux again we are not making any recommendations other than wear your fucking masks and get vaccinated already so we can get over this and get back to somewhat normal!
Nosferatu Festival 2022 Update
We have been hard at work planning the 2022 Nosferatu Festival with Gore Noir Magazine and we are getting close to announcing the band lineup and ticket on sale date.
We are still taking submissions for the short film festival and special FX makeup contests. If you are chosen as one of the 3 finalists to showcase your work on stage at the festival you’ll have a chance to win $250 cash and prizes for your makeup and special effects skills and get to attend Nosferatu Festival with your friends for free. We already have some really cool submissions and are looking forward to seeing more!
Are we missing something?
