American Gothic: An Edgar Allan Poe Ball

American Gothic is a subgenre of gothic fiction. Elements specific to American Gothic include: rationality versus the irrational, puritanism, guilt, the uncanny (das unheimliche), ab-humans, ghosts, and monsters.

American Gothic: An Edgar Allan Poe Ball celebrates all the above. Edgar Allan Poe was born January 19, 1809. Join us on Saturday January 18. 2020 as we celebrate the works of the most famous American Gothic writers.

DJ Cresendoll & Neph are your hosts for the night – together they will help you traverse the world of Poe which is filled with murder, revenge, torture, the plague, being buried alive, insanity, etc.

Poe Toaster – Have you ever wanted to be a Poe Toaster? Well we will give you the opportunity at American Gothic. We will have an Edgar Allan Poe gravestone set up on stage. Please bring roses, notes of devotion to Poe, buy a shot of cognac at the bar to offer to him, or anything else you want to offer Poe.


The mysterious and enchanting Lady Cassandra will be available for all your tarot, rune, palm, and psychic readings. If you dare!
