Fresh off their appearance at Nosferatu Festival, Zombeast was back in town with Calabrese at Austin’s goth Mecca, Elysium for a night of horror punk! The two Arizona bands teamed up for the “No Return From Darkness Tour” with Calabrese in support of their new Ep, “No Return From Darkness” and Zombeast continuing the celebration of their 20th anniversary and release of their latest album, “Heart of Darkness“.
I’m not sure Elysium’s usual crowd was ready for this show. I overheard several people asking, “when does the DJ start?” Elysium is more know for hosting goth, electronic and synthpop DJs and acts and the few regulars that were there were not pleased. The people that came out for the show couldn’t care where this show was—they just wanted to see the rare appearance of these 2 horror punk bands in Austin.
