7th Annual Nosferatu Festival

The 7th Annual Nosferatu Festival returned to Austin, Texas February 21-23, 2025 for a weekend of bands, burlesque, sideshow, films, and vendors celebrating the film Nosferatu: A Symphony of Horrors. The festival was founded in 2019 by Gore Noir Magazine, and has been put on with help from The Darker Side of Austin since 2020.

The format of this year’s Nosferatu Festival was changed up to feature 2 nights of Nightstalker parties at Kick Butt Coffee and 2 days of the Daywalker Bazaar at Doubletree Hotel Arboretum.

The Friday night opening party kicked off with a headlining performance by Nim Vind, horror punk from Vancouver, along with The Belgraves (Austin) and Freddy VS (St. Louis) with a burlesque performance from newcomer SinnamonRoll (Austin) and a bloody horror drag performance by Bloody Blush (San Antonio). The Nightstalker Parties continued Saturday night with a headlining performance by the mighty Ghoultown from Dallas, along with Midnight Murder Show (Dallas) and Zombeast (Phoenix) continuing their 20th anniversary celebration and horrorlesque performances by Lita Deadly and Ember Sol.

With the Daywalker Bazaar moving to the Doubletree Arboretum, the bazaar was double in size and featured over 50 horror and horror-adjacent artists and vendors, the annual Garlic-Eating Contest, the new Nosferatu Look-a-Like Contest, a paranormal panel hosted by Night Owl Podcast and screenings of the winners of the 5th Annual Nosferatu Festival Vampire Short Film plus winners from past years, and Nosferatu: A Symphony of Horror.

Nosferatu Festival recently announced that the 8th annual festival will be held February 27-March 1, 2026, and there will be a one-day Las Vegas edition of the festival later this year.
